How can I convey these traits? Timid people often lack courage and confidence. Martin should stutter on some of his words and mumble out some sentences at times in order to convey that he is unsure of himself. He can also drop some of his chess pieces when as the game continues. He is best friends with Camille, however, so these traits can be more subtle as he is more comfortable with her.

Comedy can be hard to pull off in film. In order to convey her confidence, Camille should not hesitate on her moves during the chess game and hold her body in a confident manner.
