Blog #10: Setting and Narrative

The scene will take place in Martin’s bedroom. This supports the mystery genre as his room is the last place he saw Camille. This would show the platonic closeness of the two friends as well as give me an opportunity to build Martin’s character by placing certain objects around his room such as posters, comic books, action figures, and other decor/props. My intention is to make Martin come off as a introverted/timid kid. At the end of the scene, Martin wakes up from his dream in bed. His room will be littered with all the evidence/clues he’s gathered in his search for his missing friend. This’ll show how invested he is as this mission has consumed his living space.
